Cohort Systems represents Canada on new ISO Autonomous Systems Project
Jeremy James from Cohort Systems has been invited to contribute to a new ISO SC7 Autonomous System Safety Project. The initial task is to define a general framework for autonomous system that is testable and verifiable.
At the May 2018 Plenary Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 7 (Software and systems engineering) instructed its Secretariat “to do whatever is necessary to create a new project under SC7 for the development of standards defining a generic framework and terminology for Autonomous Systems”. Canada is a member of ISO/IEC JTC2/SC 7 by way of the SCC (Standards Council of Canada). Jeremy James was invited to be Canada’s representative on this project based upon his academic back ground and industrial experience.
