Shenzhen Anzer Intelligent Engineering Co. Ltd, P.R. China (Anzer) has invited Cohort Systens to provide consulting services regarding next generation robots. Cohort will attend meetings over two weeks at the Anzer facility in Shenzhen. Services provided will include advising the functional and technical requirements for outdoor security robots, visiting local suppliers, and representing Anzer at meetings with prospective end users in businesses including financial and property management.
Cohort Systems Inc. and ESI Robotics (Toronto) have signed a Letter of Intent for the co-development of a general purpose ‘Autonomous Guidance System’ for Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), and Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) robots. This agreement follows and Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between Cohort and Shenzhen Anzer Intelligent Systems (Anzer) in May 2016. ESI is a subsidiary of Anzer which is based in Shenzhen P.R.China. The intent of the Autonomous Guidance System is to be a general purpose plug-in subsystem that converts what is normally a remote control or tele-operated robot into an autonomous robot. Cohort has developed a product called the ROC Data Center or RDC that provides: Autonomous Navigation, 3D Terrain Evaluation, Environmental Perception, and Autonomous Mission Management and Execution. These four fundamental technologies are required for an autonomous security robot. An RDC is a proprietary computer integrated with Cohort’s patent pending Robot Open Control (ROC) Software IP. ESI has agreed to provide an EOD robot; and the hardware and electronics for the RDC per Cohort’s RDC specification. Cohort will provide: the ROC Software, integration, and testing. Both parties will demonstrate the robot in Canada and P.R.China.
Cohort has been invited to the NATO MDCS Working Group meeting at the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (M&S COE) in Rome Italy. Previously Cohort was Canada’s national lead for the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) SG-202 which was tasked with elaborating the requirements for a Multi-Domain Control Station (MDCS) for UxV operation and control. The purpose of this meeting will be to initiate detailed planning for an envisioned MDCS NATO Standard Agreement (STANAG).

This May 3rd to May 6th Cohort Systems will be attending the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) SG.202 meeting hosted by Northrup Grumman Space Technology at Space Park in Redondo Beach California. The purpose of Study Group (SG) 202 is the Development of a Conceptual Data Model for Multi-Domain Unmanned Platform Control System Services. Cohort is participating in this activity because the company believes that modern physical security challenges are best addressed with a multi-domain solution; and a crucial component of this solution will be a Multi-Domain Control Station for UxV control.
Engineering Services Inc. Toronto and Cohort have agreed to submit a response United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) invitation to submit a bid for the Supply, Operations and Maintenance of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) in Mali. The bid is in response to ITB Ref No: 95739_ITB_MLI_ROVs_16_139 for the supply of 14 medium sized ROVs and 1 small ROV.

Cohort Systems has been invited to attend the Fort Benning Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE) Industry Day in Columbus Georgia. This event will take place on April 13th at the Columbus Trade Center in Columbus Georgia. Located at Ft. Benning, Georgia, the MCOE is the U.S. Army’s testing ground for future technologies that will aid the Infantry, Stryker, and Armored Brigade Combat Teams. The objective the event is for the US Army to convey its requirements to industry suppliers.

Cohort Systems Inc. has been accepted as a supplier to the United Nations Global Market Place (UNGM). The UN represents a $15Billion US market much of which is for specialized goods to provide security in that same geographic markets that Cohort has been developing for its products. The UNGM is a portal to many independent UN purchasing agencies. Through this portal Cohort has recently replied to an RFI for supply of an EOD Robot for de-mining in Mali.
